Meriden, CT students celebrate Choose Love Awareness Month

Scarlett Lewis, who lost her son in the Sandy Hook shooting, visited Washington Middle School students in Meriden on February 27, 2020. She gave presentations to the students and handed out Starfish awards to top students and faculty that exemplified the Choose Love Formula. The Record-Journal in Meriden also covered the event and shared the significance of how Choose Love has changed the culture in Washington Middle School and has given the students ways to change the world around them.

“There’s a lot going on in our schools and I love connecting with the kids and hearing about what’s happening in their lives,” Lewis said.  “I love introducing Jesse and his message and giving these essential life skills to kids…So, for me, to come here, I give love and I receive love.
