by Rick Rood, Choose Love coach practitioner
Why am I a coach practitioner? Back in 1998, I almost gave up teaching altogether. I was supervising a cohort of eight teachers at a school in California. I ran into my first brick wall as an educator and a supervisor. Honestly, I was so blinded by my own frustrations that I lost sight of the big picture. There was so much infighting and turmoil – and I felt abandoned by my own supervisors at the district office. I thought “screw it”- and turned in my 2-week notice.
I started applying for tech jobs, and I was even offered a position at an Oregon casino to run their web operations. But, I will tell you, those eight weeks that I was “off the job” were some of the most miserable weeks of my life. I felt empty; I felt like I had abandoned my mission.
So what changed? HOW did I overcome my greatest difficulties?
Honestly, it’s the same way you might, or ANYONE would. I had to DIG DEEP. I had to open myself to LEARNING again. I had to seek NEW MENTORS. I got a COACH. Most of all, I had to see a different kind of future for myself and my family, and I had to get to work.
Maybe you can relate. Maybe it really is your time to make a change, right? Then, please, go get yourself registered for Choose Love Coaching.
But listen… sometimes, SOMETHING has to change. Maybe this is that moment for you. Maybe it’s not. But I want you to know I’m here, and I’ve held a spot for you… but the registration deadline is Feb. 29th and spots are filling up quickly. I can’t wait to get to work serving Choose Love’s new students. I hope you choose to become one of them, one of us.
