Suicide Prevention
This webinar aims to teach the basic skills needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and to enable them to engage the support they need , eventually signposting that person onto a suicide first aider or other professional support. The insight gained from this webinar on the topic of suicide and the continuum that prevails will aid learners to become more aware of their interactions with people potentially needing support.

The learning outcomes aim to raise your insight so that you can spot the early signs of someone needing support, before they escalate to crisis point. Statistics show that the earlier intervention takes place the better the outcomes are for a fuller recovery.

“I am a qualified counsellor and founder of a Community Interest Company, with a BACP Accredited qualification and on the Professional Standards Register, working within the BACP ethical framework. My counselling is underpinned with qualifications in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, Anger Management, Criminal Psychology and a Bsc in Adult Mental Health Nursing.
I am trained Integratively but apply focus on Humanistic Approaches including Motivational Interviewing techniques and a Psychodynamic framework. I have specialism in Cognitive Behavioural Interventions (CBT) and Substance Misuse: Crisis through to Wellness and Recovery, supporting a variety of needs to help enhance the quality of life of those I support and help to build resilience.
I have a special interest in working with complex issues through a trauma informed lens, this includes belonging to the Accredited register for The Foundation for Infant Loss, Article 2 HRA Human Rights, Anxiety, and complicated Grief & Trauma. Delivery of Mental Health First Aid England Racial Equity within the Workplace, Adult & Youth MHFA Programmes as well as Suicide First Aid Intervention programmes.
