Lisa Swain

Over the past 30 years I have worked with students of all ages, from infants and toddlers to adult learners. I retired in 2019 after teaching for twenty years as an Adjunct Professor at Naugatuck Valley Community College in the Early Childhood Education Department, as well as the Psychology Department.

I have spent the past decade working to bring the Pyramid Model for Social Emotional Learning to the State of CT.  I am a State approved trainer for the Pyramid Model and the CT Early Learning and Development Standards, and have provided training and coaching to teachers on various topics throughout Connecticut.  I assisted in the creation of the Social Emotional curriculum for pre-k and infants and toddlers for the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation, and remain passionate in spreading the benefits of adopting the Choose Love formula.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bucknell University, a Masters degree in Business from Boston College, and a Masters and 6th year degree in Education from The University of Bridgeport (Elementary and Secondary)  My husband and I live in Guilford, CT and are very grateful for our wonderful three adult sons and daughter-in-law.
