Love in Action: Raising the Next Generation with Courage, Connection & Compassion

As parents, caregivers, and community members, we are our children’s first and most important teachers. In a rapidly changing world filled with stress, fear, and disconnection, what our kids need most is for us to be the best version of ourselves and model love in action. This interactive workshop is an invitation to explore how we can model feeling, doing and being better—so our children can learn to do the same.
Rooted in the powerful Choose Love Formula—Courage + Gratitude + Forgiveness + Compassion-in-Action—and supported by the Choice Moment Model, this session offers practical tools, heartfelt reflection, and evidence-based strategies to guide you in showing up with love, presence, and purpose. Together, we will learn how to teach ourselves first, which then ripples out to our previous children how to love themselves, navigate change, and create meaningful connections with others.
Key Takeaways:
-
Understand the science of social and emotional development and how love in action supports healthy brains and resilient hearts.
-
Learn how to recognize and use Choice Moments to respond thoughtfully rather than react emotionally—especially during stress or conflict.
-
Discover how to actively listen, be truly present, and communicate with honesty and openness to strengthen family bonds.
-
Explore how to encourage a growth mindset, model courage, and foster emotional safety at home.
-
Practice using the Choose Love Formula in real-life parenting and community scenarios to build stronger, more compassionate relationships.
-
Learn how to help your children love themselves, so they can grow into kind, confident, and connected human beings who love one another.
Why This Matters:
Children don’t just learn from what we say—they learn from who we are. By doing the inner work of choosing love moment by moment, we create a ripple effect that transforms families, schools, and communities. When we lead with love, we lay the foundation for a safer, healthier, and more hopeful world for our children—and for ourselves.
